Indo-China 1940 Japanese Occupation Airmail 1940 (Jun) (17.6.15) Censored Envelope c/w long letter regarding Death of solder (written to soldiers mother & describing in great detail the Scouting Mission in which the soldier was KIA. Transcript provided) franked 30s cancelled FPO 222 from Officer with Sato Party, Aoki Unit, Fakabori Unit, Sakurada Unit South China Dispatch by airmail to dead soldiers mother in Yokahama City & arriving 22 June (interesting item as Sakurada Unit was Royal Mixed Bridage who participated in the Occupation of Indo-China in September 1940 after fighting around Shang Ssu area in China proper & although FPO 222 is stated to be located in Hanoi it seems that it might have travelled with the unit and been used in Southern China around Shang Ssu.
