Entire sent from Gosport (approx 2 miles outside Havant), via Havant the main Post Road Town to Salisbury. This is a VERY RARE Solid Centre M.C. Approx. half a dozen examples struck in Red are recorded on the Penny Black (Reference the Manzi colllection Spinks), but this is the unique recorded example on the penny red, and also the only known example in black.
