It has a Melbourne circular datestamp and parallel line cancellation. The inscription indicates it was received on 22nd May 1944. There is no Japanese censor mark. The diamond 3 PASSED BY CENSOR 168 in violet on the back and front is the Australian censor mark with the 3d by Censor resealing tape in red on the reverse. The cover is inscribed "Cha" in pencil.
