Great Britain 1841 1d RED with ALDERNEY MX 1841 1d. red pl.63 'QE' with 4 large to huge margins cancelled with a fine distinctive Channel Islands Maltese cross - probably the latest known plate with this cross. This is a remarkable stamp - plate 63 was registered in September 1845 - over a year after the numeral should have been in use. It is cancelled by a fine strike of the very distinct Channel Islands Maltese cross. Without doubt it is one of the latest known plates with the Channel Islands MC.
