72 "GB/China/Double Rate Postage Due. 1930 (21/10) Underpaid cover from Shanghai to London bearing Junk 4c (2), 1c/3c (2) giving a rate of 10c. From the 1st July 1930 the international rate was increased to 15c giving a deficiency of 5c. At the time 100 gold centimes equalled 60 Chinese cents giving a short payment of 8 1/3 gold centimes which at double deficiency = 16 2/3 g.c. The nearest GB rate was 1 1/2d. so charged in Postage Due adhesives. Both of the cachets, “Shanghai T” and “Tasce 16 2/3 centimes” would appear to have originated in Shanghai. A rare Cover. " £275
