A nicely carved Japanese ivory netsuke of a standing immortal figure holding a staff. Signed 'Gyokuzan', a signature used by several artists, and possibly by artist #165 or 166 in 'The Netsuke Handbook of Ueda Reikichi'. Probably 19th century. 4 cms / 1.6 inches high.
